The remit is to develop UK business within new market sectors for our Global manufacturing client who has a world wide turnover of approximately €2billion, about 20,000 employees and operating companies/sales offices in 37 countries. Products include Glass Processing, Electronic Packaging, Fibre Optics and Flat Panel Displays. Career opportunities are excellent.
Main Tasks & Duties
Cold calling and new business development activities to generate leads and develop opportunities to increase revenue
Market research and competitor analysis to identify new target markets
Development of business relationships with Architects, designers and relevant contacts that are in a position to create and lead the market.
Arranging appointments with appropriate potential customers
Produce quotations and proposals.
Conduct presentations to decision makers
Attendance at production meetings as required.
Produce sales forecasts, business activity reports and sales figures as required..
Investigate opportunities for products that have the same customers, the same distribution channels or the same processes as the existing business.
Generate sales for manufacturing assemblies, modules and systems
Generate sales of processed and printed glass products including fibre optics and touch sensor controls
Work and co-operate with colleagues at sister companies to benchmark and optimise practices and to be an active contributor to new product development
