A Leading telephony products and services provider is looking to recruit INSTALLATION / FIELD ENGINEERS due to their ongoing expansion.
KEY SKILLS:
The ideal candidate must be a self-driven individual able to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience working on installing a variety of PABX systems including LG, Nortel, BCM, Samsung and IP Telephony experience will be an advantage
Must be computer literate, particularly Internet and Email and ideally familiar with Access or similar database. Knowledge of IP and networking would be useful.
Must have full driving licence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation of traditional and IP based telephony hardware and software. The role can sometimes entail a mixture of installations and additional works jobs.
List of main duties
Liasing with customers therefore requiring excellent customer communication skills.
To develop good working relationship with internal office staff and field based engineers.
To provide an Installation service at customer's premises, working as a team or working individually.
To assist other engineers involved in projects, and to work with management in the assignment of technical tasks where required.
To be able to provide full customer training on the installed product
To be able to provide clear and concise documentation of completed allocated work.
To be able to liase with PABX manufacturer technical support helpdesk to provide solutions to rectify problematic faults.
To work closely with Installation job co-coordinators to ensure accurate recording of all engineering activities and install details.
To work closely with other engineers to continually pursue self-development through in house training and to also assist in the development and training of other engineers.
Will be required to participate in out of hours call out rota where required. Shift allowance applies.
