Responsibilities - - Implementation and administration of the company's IT (computer related) systems and infrastructure, including intranet and extranet. - Provide support to employees for all IT related problems. - Carrying out IT audits at each depot as and when requested by Group IT Manager. - Keeping abreast of developments in software and in particular those by company critical software. Evaluating all such products and new products and recommending purchase to the Group IT Manager. - Maintenance and regular checking of all IT hardware and office equipment in company use across all depots. Regular trips to depots with possible overnight stays will be required from time to time. - Resolve day to day IT related problems at short notice across all depots in the most cost efficient manner. Where possible, problems should be resolved over phone to minimize unnecessary trips to depots. - Administration of all IT software in company use including IT Asset Database. - Evaluating, monitoring and upgrading the Company's communication systems to ensure the Company takes advantage of the latest technology. Recommending any necessary improvements in systems to the Group I.T. Manager. - Providing cover for Group IT Manager when absent or on holiday. - Complying with all Company Procedures including Health & Safety procedures and Directives and Company P.P.E. requirements. - Maintaining a work area that is tidy and free from hazards. - Checking company vehicles before use and driving in a safe and courteous manner. - Reporting any accidents (person, property or vehicles) to the Board. - Any ad-hoc duties as required from time to time by the Board. |
