Responsibilities
Customer:
Identify customer needs/make sales. Close enquiries, take reservations
Meet and exceed customer requirements
Identify sales opportunities and pass to Manager, Account Manager
Maintain client confidentiality
Identify, pursue and resolve issues arising from rental
Knowledge of terms and conditions of rental
Follow set procedures on validation of customers
Know when and how to refer anomalies to others for authority where required
Develop knowledge of branch delivery areas
Process/Product:
Working knowledge of Netrent – include ALL screens
Working knowledge of other IT products telephone, fax, photocopier and other office equipment
Know and impart knowledge of each product to customer
To know how and when to block sales cars and ensure return/delivery of same
Build knowledge of rental industry
Establish knowledge of Scot Group Ltd, relationship and history and awareness of ‘key figures’ therein
Environment:
Awareness of Health and Safety at Work Act as applies to self/others/Company
Keep safe and secure all company property
Maintain safe/secure workplace/environment for all
Actively contribute fully as a team member, following manager’s instructions
Provide ‘out of hours’ service as/when required
As part of team, provide weekend cover as may be required

To willingly undertake and perform any other duties as maybe reasonably required of them by their line manager/supervisor.
Hours of work – 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm with one hour unpaid for lunch. Includes Saturdays, between the hours of 8:00am and 1:00pm, on a rota as overtime and paid at flat rate.
Salary package – We offer a basic salary of up to £13,000 per annum depending on experience. On top of this employees have the opportunity to earn bonuses of up to £1000 in total per annum (up to £500 could be paid every six months and is dependent on the branch reaching its targets). Employees also have the opportunity to increase their earnings by creating business leads and receiving customer commendation awards. We also provide a free uniform, full training, an excellent pension scheme (worth 6% of the basic salary) and overtime, the salary package is worth up to £15,500 per annum.
We are looking for candidates who have customer service and administration experience. Ideally they will have vehicle rental experience, however this is not essential. Candidates who have worked in the hospitality/travel, banking, retail and tourism trade would also be of interest.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE FULL DRIVING LICENCE AND HELD IT FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES (SOME POINTS ACCEPTABLE).
