My client is looking to recruit an experienced contracts manager with specific knowledge of roofing.
To ensure day to day management of contracts department workload is completed on time and in accordance with H&S regulations whilst delivering customer satisfaction, budgetary control and profitability.
SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE; EXPERTISE AND/OR ABILITIES CONSISTENTLY REQUIRED:-
Extensive experience of achieving results in roofing and cladding business is essential as is the commercial awareness to deliver positive contribution. Demonstrable leadership of projects involving own, CIS and sub-contractor labour. Self organisation, decision making and self motivation are essential as is a full understanding of multi-site working contact within a roofing/cladding environment. Knowledge of roofing and cladding processes, systems and procedures. Essential that H&S regulations are understood and implemented. Full driving licence required. Desirable those Microsoft office applications can be utilised. CSCS and IOSH certification are desirable.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1. Plan, organise and manage operations for effective and efficient working which meets /exceeds company/legislative health & safety requirements.
2. Conduct positive dialogue with customer teams keeping them fully appraised of project progress, events and their significance.
3. Create customer satisfaction by delivering completed projects within time and budget.
4. Minimise waste in line with profitability, environmental and quality targets.
5. Manage effective internal customer-supplier relationships.
6. Demonstrate effective leadership of project teams in terms of communication, direction, strategies and support mechanisms, i.e. team briefing, appraisals, opportunities for improvement.
7. Promote employee development and training through effective planning and investment in line with PDPs.
8. Continuous self development in line with PDP.
