An opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Assistant/Production Controller, to join a leading supplier of fire and security systems based in Gateshead.
The Logistics Assistant/Production Controller would be required:
To build on established relationships with existing clients, suppliers and partner companies
To ensure deliveries to clients are on time
To provide support for other areas of the business as required
To assist in audit and stock control function
To help with quotations, movements of goods by air, sea and land, negotiation for transportation and warehousing
To have involvement in the Import/Export function of the business
Raising Purchase Orders
Sourcing and selection of suppliers
Processing the systems, including dealing with queries
Dealing with Specification and Design of Products
General administration.
The Logistics Assistant/Production Controller will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. The Logistics Assistant/Production Controller will have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team and work well under pressure. Previous experience in a logistics/production environment is essential.
In return the Logistics Assistant/Production Controller will receive:
A salary up to 19,000 per year
A holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays
Free on-site parking
The office is ideally situated, with access from the A19 and local public transport links from Gateshead and Newcastle upon Tyne on a regular basis.
