An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef to join a growing company of independent inns and hotels, strongly food-led, with a passion for delivering excellent quality of service and superb value for money. Based in Warkworth, Northumberland this 3 star hotel is renowned far and wide as a great place to eat and drink. With locally sourced food that is prepared freshly on the premises by our team of chefs, it is served with warmth and enthusiasm by our staff and is matched by a well-chosen range of wines and beers.

The principle responsibilities of the Head Chef will be:

Dealing with high class quality fresh food
Managing all aspects of the busy kitchen operation
Strong positive leadership to a team with first class standards a pre-requisite.
To be the inspirational driving force behind the kitchen's operations,
Creating imaginative menus
Recruitment and training of staff
Ordering stock
Quality control
Health and safety
Achievement of budgetary targets

Ideally a Head Chef in a similar environment, your experience to date will be within high quality 3/4 star corporate hotels. This is not a first time role and as such only experienced head chefs will be considered for the position. The successful candidate will preferably hold City and Guilds qualifications. Hours of work are dictated by the needs of the business.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager as Head Chef you will be responsible for a focused brigade creating and maintaining an efficient, safe happy and stable working environment.

In return the Head Chef will receive:

A generous salary of up to 20,000 per year with a salary review after 3 months
22 days holiday per year
In-house accommodation will be provided
