Full Description:
An LGV Engineer (Vehicle Technician) is required for a company in Tyne and Wear to ensure the client base is provided with a proficient and cost effective management of their vehicle maintenance, through demonstration of industry experience, technical ability and understanding.

This role is open to applicants who are HGV Technicians who wish to move to a more office based role more in line with a Workshop Controller dealing with one or more contracts. Salary is £19,000 and will invove shift pattern work (TBC) Candidates should have 5 years of industry experience.

MAIN TASKS:

The main tasks, not solely limited too, can be broken down into the following key areas of responsibility

"To respond to incoming calls as quickly and efficiently as possible
"Progression on a daily basis of all jobs on all available status' to be undertaken to a point where no job on any status is 'overdue'
"Every job created will contain the driver details and preferred medium of contact where possible
"Each job will have the relevant detail as requested by the driver and adequately describes the reason for the job
"Incoming fax proforma invoices to be actioned and responded to in a timely fashion, usually within one hour
"Vehicle inspection paperwork to be diligently checked for
oName and address of operator
oVehicle make/model/mileage
oTax expiry date
oOperator Licence expiry
oExhaust emission
oBrake test completed
oTyre tread depth
oDefect found box initialled
oDefect rectified box initialled
oDeclaration signed
oAny further action identified
