Full Description:
Our client in Northumberland is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer for their team in Northumberland.

Key tasks

Development of new products
Development testing
Member of cross-functional product development teams
Maintaining product documentation - drawings, test reports etc

Knowledge and Experience

Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
3D CAD - preferably Pro/Engineer (but training will be given)
Experience of testing and validation of new product designs
Preferably statistical analysis skills - but training will be provided

Personal attributes required

Must be a strong, highly motivated person, able to work on their own initiative.
Must be a team player.
Can demonstrate success in the development of new electronic products from concept to manufacture.
Analytical approach - always goes for the root cause of issues, not the "easy fix".
Works to get the job done, whatever is required
Must be flexible and willing to work with all areas of the Company, especially Manufacturing, Quality and Marketing.
Willing to take on a wide range of tasks, as required, to get the job done.
Experience in a Total Quality environment an advantage.
