Network/Systems Administrator - Newcastle upon Tyne - Salary dependent upon experience
Company overview
The company is an exciting and progressive company working at the cutting edge of internet technology and are looking for a new member to join hardworking, focused team. Due to increased sales and technical activity are now seeking a Network/Systems administrator. They are an independent data centre and internet consultancy located in Newcastle upon Tyne city centre. The business has been established for six years and its directors have been in the internet business for over 12 years. They are a customer focused organisation, developing relationships with clients, facilitating their technical needs as their businesses grow.
Role
Working directly under the Head of Systems this is a diverse and exciting role within a growing business. Tasks you will be responsible for will include network and systems administration and management, providing technical support to customers and staff and new technology and product research.
Skills and Experience
It is essential that you have a CCNA qualification (or equivalent experience) and have Windows Server and Linux server system administration experience gained in a commercial environment. Client handling experience would be an advantage; this can be from any business sector. You will have a good understanding of Internet operations and have the aptitude to learn about our services. We will be looking for good personal skills so you will need to display common sense, have a good telephone manner, be a clear thinker capable of establishing solutions. It is essential that you are a team player and also have the tenacity to manage your own full work load.
