An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sous Chef to join a growing company of independent inns and hotels, strongly food-led, with a passion for delivering excellent quality of service and superb value for money. Based in Warkworth, Northumberland this 3 star hotel is renowned far and wide as a great place to eat and drink.
With locally sourced food that is prepared freshly on the premises by our team of chefs, It is served with warmth and enthusiasm by our staff and is matched by a well-chosen range of wines and beers.

To support the seamless running of the kitchen, by providing a highly efficient and effective service whilst ensuring that all Food production and operation adheres to specified Food cost percentage.
Assist and supervise the agreed standard of food service during shift
Liaise and co-operate effectively with all other associated members of staff in relation to all aspects of the production and service of food
Supervise the training of all new staff members in the department to the standard required by the Head Chef
Promote the safe use of the kitchen, its equipment and building under the Health and Safety at Work acts, Hygiene and other regulations
Ensure all relevant food controls and correct temperatures are logged and adhered to at all times.
The ability to produce and create food using fresh ingredients is essential.

Reporting to the Head Chef or senior Chef on duty, the Sous Chef must be flexible, able to prioritise under pressure and have an excellent command of English language.

In return the Sous Chef will receive:

A generous salary of up to 16,000 per year with a salary review after 3 months
22 days holiday per year
In-house accommodation will be provided
