Full Description:
Our Client is a World Leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of Compressed Air Breathing Technology and Gas Detection Equipment.

The client is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Gas Detection Systems department based in Blyth.

Working closely with the client, the successful candidate will be responsible for the system design, coordination of design drawings, production and the execution of bills of materials, in-wards goods inspection and material allocation. Together with resource planning and supervision of engineering personnel, project status reports, variation order control and preparation for equipment test and despatch.

Knowledge of Fire and Gas detection control systems would be a distinct advantage, along with engineering drawing skills, familiarity with AutoCAD would be beneficial.
The successful candidate must have to ability to demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project and Word, and must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

You should ideally have a relevant Degree or HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.

The ability to take full responsibility, act on own initiative and make decisions unsupervised is an important element of this role, coupled with commitment for the project duration and cycle. Occasional overseas and travel within the UK to the job site, may be required.
