    Our Client is a World Leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of Compressed Air Breathing Technology and Gas Detection Equipment.

    They are now seeking an Electronics Engineer

    This job will be based in our R & D Department and based at Blyth.
    The work
    • Developing firmware and related electronic hardware for new personal protection equipment.
    Technical skills required
    • Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
    • Knowledge and experience of the design of electronic PCBs and components for medium volume manufacture.
    • Knowledge of Electromagnetic Capability and Intrinsic Safety applications is important, but training will be given.
    • Knowledge of the EMC and IS Approval processes would be an advantage.
    • Experience in product development from product concept through to manufacture. Ability to develop own test and development programmes.
    • Software skills in C or similar.
    Personal attributes required
    • Must be a strong, highly motivated person, able to work on their own initiative.
    • Must be a team player.
    • Can demonstrate success in the development of new electronic products from concept to manufacture.
    • Analytical approach – always goes for the root cause of issues, not the “easy fix”.
    • Works to get the job done, whatever is required
    • Must be flexible and willing to work with all areas of the Company, especially Manufacturing, Quality and Marketing. Willing to take on a wide range of tasks, as required, to get the job done.
    • Experience in a Total Quality environment an advantage.
