| IT Support Technician based in Newcastle City Centre Salary £15k - £20k To cover a wide range of hardware and software issues at 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support levels. Experience of installing, configuring and supporting multi-vendor equipment, in a multi-client environment to SLA's and to quality standards. Specific Technical Skills / Experience - Window '98 onwards - Server 2000 & 2003 - Exchange 2000 onwards - Small Business Server 2000 & 2003 - Office Suite '97 onwards - Wide experience of LAN and WAN technologies - Sound knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, Ethernet - Remote administration and support of PC via remote support tools - Knowledge and experience of VPN, Active Directory and DNS - ADSL router configuration and administration The Support Technician will have first class interpersonal skills, excellent problem solving skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work to deadlines under pressure. They will have the ability to manage and prioritise workload. |
