Job Description

A Sous Chef is required for this luxurious family owned country house hotel issituated in 15 acres of landscaped grounds in Northumberland. Alongside the restaurant the property caters for small business meetings and weddings.

* THIS POSITION MAY SUIT A SENIOR CDP LOOKING FOR THIER NEXT STEP.*

The Role: You will be a highly motivated individualand you will join the hotels successful and established kitchen brigade. You will display a pleasant manner and a positive attitude and be willing to learn, train and develop the brigade. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen, promoting efficiency, confidence and courtesy and have a high standard of social skills. You will also deputise in the Head Chefs absence. You will be ensuring that the food is prepared, presented and cooked to the highest standards and that these standards are always maintained.

Qualification/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar property and have experience of catering for high volume. You will also require NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3 in Food Preparation or equivalent qualifications and a food hygiene certificate. You will also have the ability to train, develop and motivate staff and have a sound financial knowledge.
