An opportunity has arisen for an in-house lawyer within a North East based FTSE 250 plc, this “green” space business brings together concepts, technologies, funding and service models creating a unique organisation.

Working within a small but experienced legal team we require a qualified solicitor or barrister with a degree and preferably with between four and seven years post qualification experience.

The post holder will have a commercial/contract background in either private practice or in-house as essentially a major part of the role will consist of assessing tender and contract bids, and advising and assisting with the drafting of contracts.

The successful candidate will also have a working knowledge of TUPE and the ability to assess TUPE implications in contract/tender situations as required. This role requires a common sense approach and the ability to apply that knowledge in a commercial context.



Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to a full time post. If this post is offered on a temporary or part time basis the terms and conditions applicable are those offered at the interview and subsequently documented in the Statement of Particulars of Terms of Employment issued to you.


Salary:
Salary package will be market driven and negotiable with the successful candidate

Pension Scheme:
The employer will make a matched contribution of up to 5% of gross salary to the pension plan. Contributions will be paid from the 1st of the month following your date of employment, unless commencement is the first day of the month.

Group Life Assurance:
eaga plc provides group life assurance to all employees. The current level of benefit payable is four times salary.

Hours of Work:
The normal hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and will be business led. The holder of this post may be required to work outside normal working hours to meet their duties and responsibilities.

Holiday:
23 days annual leave plus all public holidays.
