Introduction
eaga is a green support services company, the UK’s leading provider of residential energy efficiency solutions and an established deliverer of a range of outsourced programmes, products and services that promote social and environmental justice.

The procurement function is currently undergoing significant changes with a view to making purchasing and contract management much more strategic and to make a significant contribution to the bottom line of the business.

Role
Reporting to the Procurement Director we are seeking to recruit an experienced IT Category Manager who will take responsibility for transforming procurement of IT Goods and Services with an annual spend in excess of £5 million across the eaga Group.

Role Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of the position holder will include, but will not be limited to:
o Development and implementation of strategic sourcing approach within this category.
o Working closely with the IT Director and other partners in the IT function to deliver practical sourcing solutions.
o Management of stakeholders across business and IT functions to ensure that sourcing strategy is aligned to organisational requirements and priorities
o Prioritisation of sourcing to align with key operational requirements within the business and to deliver key benefits in cost, quality and value for money
o Completion of sourcing exercises in line with agreed strategy to identify and develop suitable contractual arrangements with suppliers and service providers in this category
o Contract management of suppliers and service providers appointed as a result of such sourcing exercises
o Delivering savings targets and additional value across procurement in this category.


Essential Criteria
o Experience in sourcing and contract management in an IT procurement category role within a similar organisational environment.
o Ability to build and develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the IT function as well as customers of the IT services throughout the business.
o A pragmatic individual with the ability to fulfil responsibilities with minimal support and supervision.
o Experience in delivering efficiencies, through strategic category sourcing approach.
o Ability to plan and prioritise to deliver effectively to challenging timescales.
o Capable of influencing at all levels of the business.
o A highly numerate self starter able to hit the ground running and use own initiative
o Well developed reporting and presentation skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver quality results to tight deadlines
o Strong IT Skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Conditions of Employment
These terms and conditions apply to a full time post. If this post is offered on a temporary or part time basis the terms and conditions applicable are those offered at the interview and subsequently documented in the Statement of Particulars of Terms of Employment issued to you.

Salary:
Competitive salary dependent on skills and experience

Pension Scheme:
If the partner makes a 5% of gross salary contribution towards their pension, eaga plc will match this with a further 5% contribution. There is no minimum contribution required to be made by the employee, however additional contributions can be made if requested. Contributions will be paid from the 1st of the month following the first full month of employment, unless commencement is the first day of the month.

Group Life Assurance
eaga plc provides group life assurance to all employees. The current level of benefit payable is four times salary.

Hours of work:
The normal hours of work are 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and will be business led. The holder of this post may be required to work outside normal working hours to meet their duties and responsibilities.

Holiday:
23 days plus all public holidays.
