Bid/Tender Proposal Manager

Salary Level is up to £40K dependant on skills and experience
Main purpose of role:
Accountability for the support of all contract sales initiatives within the Division and the production of responses to expressions of interest, pre-qualification questionnaires, invitations to ender (ITT) and invitations to negotiate (ITN), the main focus of this role is to support and co-ordinate the output of tender management to achieve contract wins.
Key responsibilities:
1. Preparation of contract tenders and commercials utilising a Contract Assessment and Profit Model
2. Management and coordination of the bid team and the promotion of a culture of bidding excellence, intelligence gathering within the market place.
3. Liaising with and supporting contract business development to ensure contract assessment and profit model are aligned to sales pipeline reporting
4. Liaising with the technical/operational team and senior management for technical specifications
5. Liaising with the Corporate Management Team to ensure comprehensive legal review of all contracts
6. Reporting of contract financials and supporting preparation of final accounts
7. Agreement and documentation of any variations of contract
8. Support all research and training requirements of contract sales.
9. Confirmation of site instructions and amend documentation as appropriate
10. Ensuring financial and contractual tracking of each contract, ensuring the contract is managed in accordance with the company’s financial processes and procedures
11. Working closely with the operations team to ensure accurate valuations and assumptions are completed
12. Liaising with internal and external customers to support contract preparation and tenders
Essential skills and experience
• Previous experience of working within the preparation and submission of Contract Tendering, preferably within a contractor/specialist contractor environment
• An innovative, commercial approach to bid tenders with the ability to assess risk and enhance future bids materials following the evaluation of win/lose bid experiences.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Excellent financial monitoring skills.
• You will excel in motivating remote teams through credible influencing and leadership qualities
• Excellent negotiating/interpersonal skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads of self and others
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK as per business requirements
